Although I dont know which came first or which was styled after the other, www.jewishcafe.com and www.christiancafe.com look very similar in structure. The www.jewishcafe.com site is warm and inviting and you feel as though youre just going out for coffee with some friends as opposed to the fast paced feeling of a lot of the other dating websites.
Its comforting from the beginning and makes a single feel like a person rather than another member. You really get the feeling that youre being looked out for with the up front Frequently Asked Questions section and the ability to be as upfront or as anonymous as youd like. You can tip your toes in or you can jump right in on this site. There is a section of events that can help you put real faces to many of the members as opposed to the sometimes stale (and unforgiving) photos that are posted in the profiles. And you may find that in person meets and trips can help to give you a better idea of who youre meeting over the web. You do need to give these event coordinators your username at www.jewishcafe.com in order to register, so you cant just surf to find events to go to (as I shamefully did).
Now, like with the other similar website, I think that the membership fees are exorbitant. $32.95 for a month is just a bit more to pay that I like to in order to meet people, but when you think of all of the bad dates youre missingyou may find this quite reasonable. And the quality of the people that youre meeting at www.jewishcafe.com makes it a priceless service. And of course, you can pay for a more long term membership and get a good discount.
I also enjoyed the advice on getting the most for your membershipnow thats a way to give quality service. I felt as though they really valued me as an individual and that they were rooting for my success. I was disappointed that I wasnt able to talk to someone over the phone and could only rely on an email response to get my questions answered (the ones that werent found on the website already). And its good to note at this point that if you want your questions answered you also have to respond to their automated response. Its a safety thing, but its annoying. But if thats the biggest problem with www.jewishcafe.com, then I guess its not a big deal.
