At the meets you get to talk with a variety of other single men and women in a speed dating setting. For eight minutes, you can talk with another person to see if you are compatible. I think that this is a much more realistic way of doing speed dating as three minutes just doesnt seem like a long time. In eight minutes, I felt that I really knew the person that I was talking to, or at least I knew that we could have a fun evening together in the future.
After talking to a bunch of people, you write down the names of the people that you like and if they write down your name too, you get each others contact information and proceed from there. Thankfully, I was able to get some numbers and had some really great dates with them. Although nothing really serious came out of the first attempt, I would definitely try www.8minutedating.com again because it was fun and a good time. I would add that you should stay away from too much alcohol at the meet because you dont want to forget who youve been talking to!
The price depends on where the meet is being held at, but it ranges from $35 to $45. And thats a pretty good deal considering all of the people that you are meeting and all of the bad dates you are avoiding. My only concern is what you do at the end of the night when youre done with the dates and youre walking out to your car by yourself. I guess you just have to be careful and not lead anyone on.
