Do you think I should see him again?

There's a guy who comes into our office on business on a regular basis. All the women in the office seem to think he's a jerk. I understand where they get the idea because he comes across as a know it all and he smiles way too much for no apparent reason. Here's the thing: i'm attracted to him. I don't know why, but I am and he asked me out. I didn't tell any of the women at the office I went out with him. While on the date, he told me he thought I was beautiful and he didn't think he was good enough for me. Of course, it was a line, but I admit to being touched by it. I still think he's something of a jerk, but I am intrigued. Do you think I should see him again? He's already asked for another date.
Iona

Dear Iona,
Believe what people tell you they are. You can certainly see him again as long as you keep your instincts in mind and listen to the reasons why you think this guy is a jerk. Personally, if someone told me they didn't think they were good enough for me, that's a red flag. Not because I don't think I'm special, but because that sounds like the line he's going to use when he decides to exit the relationship.
