I am open to dating women from all races, ages and religions. I am curious about something: if I am white and I date a Jewish girl; am I dating someone from a different race or a different religion?
You are dating someone from a different religion and possibly from a different race or it could be both, or it could someone from the Jewish race only. Sammy Davis, Jr. was Jewish as is comedian Aaron Freeman - both are also African-American. Likewise, someone could have ancestors from Jerusalem, but they don't practice the Jewish religion. For many people, being Jewish is defined by the Jewish law. So if you marry a Jew, your children will be Jewish because the child follows the mother, but if a Jewish man marries a non-Jew, the children are not considered Jewish.
There are many resources available on line to explain the difference between being Jewish and practicing Judaism. Just go to a search engine and type in 'what does it mean to be Jewish?' Congratulations on being so open-minded.
