She wants to know if it's ok with me if they date.

I'm not in high school or college like some of your readers, but I have a situation that makes me feel I should be back there. I am in my thirties and I understand that hears get broken and can be mended again. I also know people are people and we have flaws. I broke up with someone more than a year ago and we've kept up a passing acquaintance. When we seeeach other we are cordial, we are over each other.
Here's the problem: he likes one of my good friends. She told me he called her and asked her out. I see her quite a lot and I've been thinking about how I would handle it if I saw them together. She wants to know if it's ok with me if they date. I don't want him back, but I don't know what to tell her.
Rosie

Dear Rosie,
Tell your friend to go and be happy also tell her that you might be a little uncomfortable the first few times you see them together, but that's to be expected and that discomfort is nothing compared to how happy you will be for them. It's not exactly true at the moment, but since you know you're over each other and you're cordial, it will probably be true in very short order.
