What do women want!?
I don't understand what women want! The women I date are all over the map about what they expect from me. What do women want!?
To quote Henri Frederic Amiel: "Women wish to be loved without a why or a wherefore; not because they are pretty, or good, or well-bred, or graceful, or intelligent, but because they are themselves."
Isn't that simple? We are all on the same road to the same place - we just go about in from different directions.
Women want men to be strong and gentle. They want men to be aggressive, but easygoing. They want to be independent and know they can count on the men in their lives. They don't want you to love them because of their looks, but you should notice and compliment them when they look good.
Before you think that women are the only ones that are so conflicted, men have their own set of wants:
Men want women who can take care of themselves, but are uncomfortable when a woman makes more money. They want a woman who will sleep with them, but not one with more experience. They want a woman who is feminine, but doesn't understand why women take offense when they perform a bodily function at the dinner table. They don't want a woman who is like their mother, but want their women to baby them when they're sick.
The bottom line: both men and women want to clear away the muck and the mire and find someone who will accept them as they are, encourage them, support them, and love them and provide that feeling of safety we all desire. We want to know we belong with and to someone who belongs with and to us and of all the other people in the world, they desire us above all others. We want to be important and needed.
