I'm going on a first date with a pretty classy girl. What things should I know that's going to ensure a second date?
Congrats on the first date! Double congrats for asking what things will make a girl want to go out with you again. In a recent online dating survey women were asked just that question, they were also asked in the book ‘What Women Want' by Laurence Roy Stains and Stefan Bechtel. Both surveys pretty much agreed on what would impress a woman on a first date. Here they are in no particular order:
Be on time
Dress nicely - you can be casual and still look nice
Compliment her sincerely
Ask questions - make conversation
Don't look at any other women
Don't talk about your past relationships
Pick up the tab
Make eye contact
Don't try to rush the physical stuff
Mind your (table) manners
It's a pretty common sense list, and incidentally, there are rules for women:
Don't keep him waiting
Compliment him sincerely
Don't flirt with other men
Don't diss your past boyfriends
Don't be pretentious
Don't conduct an interview for a husband or a boyfriend
