Why aren't there any decent men out there? Every guy I date turns out to be a jerk who is afraid of commitment or starts out saying one thing and ending up doing another! Why aren't there any good men out there?

There are good men out there - you just don't seem to be finding them. Let's assume for a moment that you are not exaggerating and every man you've dated suddenly turned into a jerk. The only hing they have in common is you. so, the question changes from where are the decent men to why aren't you picking them?

You'll need to pick apart your dating pattern and trace it back to the beginning: Do you fall for lines? If they say one thing and end up doing another, replay what they've all told you and see if you can find a common theme. My guess is that these men are telling you one or two things you want to hear and then you give yourself over to them. The next time you hear those things, train yourself to stop yourself from falling.

Your first consideration should always be to see what your role is in bringing these jerks into life, and then making the changes step by step to see that you don't do it anymore. You can't keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result. And blaming it all on the men is useless, as you're the ones making the decision to date them.
