Many people think that if you are a "real" Christian that you wouldn't date people in the virtual world, but there isn't anything in the Bible about logging on the Internet to find love or just to find someone to have a great time with. Who ever said that Christians don't like to date, too?
The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of great websites that cater to Christian singles. Many Christians steer clear of these websites because they don't want to be affiliated with fanatic religious websites, and that is understandable, but most dating websites catered to Christians are not fanatical at all. In fact, most of the Christian dating websites aren't about faith as much as they are about bringing together single people that have a faith in common.
The thing is that faith is a very personal thing and most great Christian dating websites realize this and simply act as a virtual lounge for Christian singles to get to know one another as friends, playmates, and even lovers. Dating online is a lot of fun and should be more about what each person wants out of life and out of the people they associate with than religion. Of course, religion factors into it for a lot of people because they want someone that shares their faith, but online dating is about so much more than that.

If you are a part of Christian singles groups in your area you may be looking for new people to meet, as a lot of these groups don't get new and interesting members all that often. Dating online will allow you to meet new people that you have a lot in common with that you haven't had the chance to meet in your current social circles. It can be fun to put a profile online because you'll meet a lot of people that you can not only connect with on an intimate level, but also make new friends that share your interests as well as your religion.
Even if you are a Christian you don't have to become a member of a Christian dating website. There are plenty of general dating websites that are for people from all walks of life and all religions. If you don't feel as though your faith or religion plays a role in whom you date, than you might as well meet as many people as you can because there are a lot of other Christians out there dating online, too!
