Staying True to Your Christian Morals When Dating

Dating should be fun, it should be an aspect of your life where you can really let loose and show other people your true colors. Many find that casual dating and casual sex really work for them, but when you are Christian you may find that these things go against your morals and values. This doesn't mean that you can't go out and have fun with various people in a very casual sense, but if you want to stay true to your Christian morals it's probably best to refrain from the casual sex that so many people are taking part in.
Of course, not everyone takes part in casual relationships but they do seem to be very popular for people from all walks of life. You can have casual relationships where you go out and have a good time with people that you meet from just about anywhere, you can even share hugs, kisses, and hand holding but that is generally where those that want to stay true to themselves should stop. This doesn't mean that you can't have a great time and enjoy the companies of others in a casual sense, but casual sexual relationships and Christian morals generally do't mix.
If you don't want to feel pressured to go above and beyond what you are comfortable doing when dating, make sure to explain your belief to those that you date. Many find it helpful to date other Christians that share their feelings about how far is too far and what parts of yourself you can share when you date casually. When you date people that are on the same page as you, you won't feel the pressures to stray from your Christian morals.
Many Christian singles feel as though they cannot go out and have a good time because they want to stay true to themselves and their beliefs. The fact is, the Bible only says that sex before marriage is a sin; it doesn't say anything about going out and having a good time by laughing, dancing, talking, kissing, and getting to know new people and even then only you can decide how far you are willing to go! You can go out, have fun, and be a Christian without anyone ever knowing, unless you choose for them to know. Holding back and staying true to yourself will make you feel great about yourself, and make sexual relations and such all the more special when you do meet the right person.
