How can I deal with the discomfort?

I've been dating this guy for about six months. I know I am not the first girl he dated nor is he the first guy I've been with. The problem is that we always seem to be running into his old girlfriends. Everywhere we go there is some girl who he dated 'once or twice.' This is making me very uncomfortable to think that every time I walk into a room there will be someone who he has been out with. How can I deal with the discomfort?

I think I would be more uncomfortable knowing my boyfriend has a lot of girls he only dated once or twice but that wasn't your question.
I would suggest you start going to places neither of you have been. If you are hanging around the same places all the time, the chances are good you will still run into all those exes. Start making some new memories and start creating places that are your own. If he's the one to suggest a place, you need to start making counter suggestions. Be honest with him about what you're doing. Tell him the thought of always running into an ex-girlfriend is a little tiring to your psyche and you would like create your own history without reliving so much of his. He may appreciate the effort.
