Your First Lesbian Date

Your first lesbian date will probably be a bit surreal, especially if you have been "in the closet" for a long time. Even if you have had relations with other women in the past, your first actual date with another woman may be years after you admit to yourself that you are in fact a lesbian. As a result, the first date may have a lot of expectations riding on it, so you may be very impressed, or you could be let down depending on how things go.
If you are nervous, just relax. It is usually a good idea to go on your first lesbian date with someone you know well or know somewhat well. This is not necessary, but you may find that you are far less nervous if you have a bit of experience with the woman you are going on your first date with. This will allow you to be yourself and just enjoy the fact that this is a milestone, your first lesbian date.
You may be worried when you go on your first date with another woman what the people around you may think. We have to accept that not everyone is comfortable with the fact that homosexuality is a reality. If you don't want to deal with this on your first date, don't deal with it. Why not hit the movies where you don't have to display the fact that you are a lesbian couple? If you don't like that idea, why not go dancing at a lesbian club where you don't have to hide your relationship at all? In fact you can flaunt it in a lesbian club and not worry about what other people think!
Don't worry if your first date doesn't turn out to be everything that you had always hoped it would be. Unfortunately when you dream about something for a long time you have unreal expectations. Just enjoy the fact that you are out on a date and enjoying the company of a woman that makes you happy, makes you smile, or is simply attractive and someone you would like to get to know better.
If you feel comfortable, let the woman you are going out with know that this is your first official date with a woman. When your date is aware that this is a first date steps can be taken to make the date ultra special or just more comfortable. Relax, have fun, and just allow the date to be what it is, a milestone in your sexuality.
