Dont you think its worth taking a shot to be happy?
My boyfriend of four months decided he no longer wanted a girlfriend and broke it off with me. I dont think his reason is the true one and I want a real explanation. Ive been thinking about stopping by his apartment, writing him a note, or calling him to find out what the real reason is. So far, my girlfriends have stopped me from doing so, but I think I have a right to know. I think once we talk it out, he will understand that he belongs with me and we will get back together. Dont you think its worth taking a shot to be happy?

You got a real explanation-just not one you like. You don't want to be happy, you want to be able to stop the pain and you think getting him back, or at the very least, talking with him so you can get your last word in, will do it. It won't. Time is the best healer and you need to continue listening to your girlfriends who are keeping you from doing something foolish and lacking in self-respect.
It's over. Let him go.
