How to Plan the Perfect Kiss By Tim Blackstock
The perfect kiss could be in a darkly lit room, with only candles to create a glow on a girl's expectant face. It is after a dinner that she prepared to celebrate your promotion at work. You were planning to take her out to a movie, but when you came by to pick her up, she surprised you with dinner instead. It doesn't matter now. You just took a single sip of a rich red wine, and you can't wait to see how it tastes with her lips. So you invite her to join you on the couch and lean over.
Or it could be at her front steps. It is past midnight, and you just came from an office party. You have walked your co-worker home because she needs help walking. See, she has sprained her ankle in her high heels. Her arms slung around your neck, you lower her on her front steps so she could sit down and find her keys with two hands. She finds it, and looks up to let you know she is ready to stand up with your assistance. Instead, you kiss her. And she stays seated.
It could be broad daylight. You are late for work. You are walking very fast and constantly checking your watch, as if it could make time go slower. As you turn the corner, the cute girl next door is on her way back from grocery shopping. You run right into each other, and your lips accidentally touch. Finally, she lets all her groceries roll down the sidewalk.
All the above three scenes are perfect examples of the most romantic of kisses. These scenes may seem like sequences from a Hollywood movie, but they do happen in real life. More often than you think. Incidentally, these are the kinds of kisses that cannot be planned - they just happen. You can't really make your girlfriend surprise you. You can't force a girl to sprain her ankle. And you can't intend to bump smack into your neighbor and throw her groceries around the sidewalk. These kisses are perfect because nobody expected them.
So how do you plan the perfect kiss? You don't. If the mood is right and you really feel a strong urge to do it, then do it. Let it wash over you. Let it take your breath away.
