How can I make my profile stand out ?
I'm ready to join one of those online dating sites and I've picked one out. There are literally thousands of other women out there. How can I make my profile stand out so I have some chance of increasing my dating options?

You have to think like a guy (and a guy when placing an ad has to think like a woman) and determine what it is that's mostly likely to appeal to a man. That doesn't mean not being yourself, but you have to present yourself in a way that men will get. Here are just a few things to consider:
- Use A Photo - Looks may not matter to you, but men are generally visual. Use a photograph so they can make their decision. Better they not call you at than call you and then not call again.
- Don't Get Clever With Your User Name - BigBoobBetty might be a good name on an adult dating site, but it could be conceived as desperate on the more mainstream one. Keep it simple.
- Have A Sense Of Humor - Unless you really don't have one, you should show it in your profile. Whether it's self-deprecating, or a little on the sarcastic side, show it now so people know what to expect when they meet you face to face.
