I’m taking down my profile and I think he should remove his

I used an online service to find my new boyfriend and we’ve been dating for the past six months. I thought it was time to take down my profile, or at least make it inactive. Out of curiosity, I looked up his profile and found it was still active and there were women who were interested in speaking with him. Should I be upset over this? I’m taking down my profile and I think he should remove his. What to do you think?

I think you’re being silly. You just decided to take yours down so why shouldn’t his still be up? Were there messages from other men in your profile? Did you ever have a discussion on taking down the profiles? Did you agree you would do it? If you and your boyfriend haven’t had a discussion on the nature and status of your relationship you cannot reasonably assume anything about it.

If you’re ready to be more exclusive, and you would like for him to remove the profile, you will have to bring it up in conversation and see if he agrees to it, until then don’t create guilt where there is none.
