He doesn't understand why I would be upset. Can you help me explain it to him?
Several years ago when I was living the vida loca, I met someone,slept with them without protection and found myself pregnant with my daughter. I don't regret her birth for a moment, she was the reason I stopped living like there was no tomorrow. I dated on and off during the past several years, but I was never serious about anyone..until last year. I met someone with him I felt an instant kinship.He's divorced, and well grounded. He was funny and wonderful and he knew how to treat my daughter with respect and commanding it at the same time. It wasn't very long before he moved in with us and we sat up house just like a famliy.
He sat me down last week and told me something: he was actually still married. He said he knew he should have told me before, he just didn't know how. He and his wife are sperated and although neither of them has run to the divorce attorney, he is going to go through with it to be with us.
He doesn't understand why I would be upset. Can you help me explain it to him?

He understands just fine, he doesn't want to admit it. The right time to tell you he was married was the moment he met you. He could have also told you he wasn't rushing to get a divorce.He needs to leave your house. You can teach your daughter about heartbreak and how to deal with and that's certainly better than teaching her things like adultery, divorce court, or Jerry Springer.
