How do I get my girlfriend back?

I was stupid one evening and got too drunk. I was with my girlfriend and one of my best mates and I said some things to them that I wouldn't have said sober. I lashed out at both of them and made an incredible fool of my self. My mate has forgiven me, but my girlfriend told me my behavior frightened her and though she wasn't dumping me, she wanted me to back off a little.
I don't know why I got so buzzed and I don't know why I said such angry, mean things to them. My friend and I will be fine, but how to I get my girlfriend back?

First, you need to stay sober. You may want to drink when you're somewhere out with your girlfriend, but for the foreseeable future any drink in your hand will trigger a memory of your being drunk. So stay away from the booze and if she asks you why you aren't drinking tell her you acted inappropriately and you don't want her to be afraid of you.
Second, if there's something on your mind concerning the people in your life, talk to them about it. and talk when you're sober because they're more likely to listen to you and take you seriously. Drunkenness brings out our darker side, but it also brings out issues that might not see the light of day. Obviously you had something on your mind - speak up to it can be resolved by rational thought instead of exacerbated by drunken ravings.
