I've been dating this girl for about 4 months now and recently she started telling a few people my real age since I'm in my later 20's and she's in her early 20's. We had previously agreed that she wouldn't tell other people my real age since I'd rather keep it private. But recently she told two of her friends. I feel that the trust in our relationship was broken. When I asked her why she told them, she said.... because their people we both don't normally hang out with. Or times when I cant make it out with her and our friends,because of work.... she say's things like, she's will go alone and check out other guys. I know she says things to upset me so I would go out,but I feel little signs are warnings for bad things may happen. I even asked her if I should trust her anymore, and she said... no I shouldn't trust her. I mean does she not value the promises we keep with one another and start telling other people, or did she just forget. I don't know anymore, if you help in anyway it would really be appreciated. John  Dear John I don't get why telling someone your age is a big thing, but it's your thing and that's all that matters. The most telling thing is this: you asked if you should trust her and she said no. Believe what people tell you about themselves. If she says things to get you to do what she wants, and she lets things slip more than once, then no, she didn't forget. It's how you've taught her to treat you. You have insisted on these rules of behaviors and she's rebelling against them. On the other hand, you may be a little hard to deal with if something like your age difference - which can't be more than nine years since you're both in your twenties, is something you're afraid people may find out. It might be you're trying to restrict her by telling what she can and can't talk about. This isn't so much a girlfriend/boyfriend thing as it is parent and child with you being the one in control. Consider easing up.
