I broke up with my boyfriend because he cheated on me

I broke up with my boyfriend because he cheated on me. Whenever we see each other in public, he gets angry with me and calls me names. I have told him I was willing to work on our relationship but he would have to prove he wasn't seeing anyone else, but that just makes him angrier. I don't know what to do about the situation.

Angie

Dear Angie,

What situation? Certainly, you aren't concerning yourself with someone who is so unwilling to take responsibility for his actions that he gets mad at your for walking out on a cheater? Let him be angry, it's his problem not yours. The reason he gets mad is because he can't make promise to be faithful, that would make him a liar as well as a cheat. It's time to really step away from the relationship. If you can't avoid the places where you run into each other, then walk away when he starts his routine of anger and blame.
