Easiest Ways to Apologize For Your Naughty Behavior

You would think that simply saying "I'm sorry" to the person you care about the most would be an easy task. However, for whatever many reasons, it's sometimes one of the most difficult things you'll ever have to do. And it's not just the words coming for you that pose the problem, but the way your significant other handles them. It's some people’s worst fear – the dreaded apology.

There are many ways to give an apology to the person you care about, no matter what you’ve done, but every relationship deserves the easiest way to get the elephant out of the room quickly to put your relationship on the mend instead of leaving it on the fritz.

The first way to apologize is to get it while it's hot. While your partner is still upset with you, muster up the apology as quickly as you can while the whole heat-of-the-moment thing is still happening. Don't let it be false, though. Make sure it's from your heart, but make sure you do it quickly before resentment takes over.

Another way to keep it easy is to cut back on the rhetoric. Detailed explanations may help you reconcile why you did what you did, but your partner doesn't need nor want to hear the BS that goes along with it. As long as you're sincere, keep it as short as possible. Sum it up and give your partner time to process.

Also, remember that chivalry's not dead yet. Gifts never hurt anyone. Of course, don't make it too lavish lest your partner beings to think you're either still hiding something or are trying to buy affection. But small forget-me-nots and feel-good fodder work well.

The last tip to make it easy on both of you: don't barter, this is not one of the better ways to apologize. If you were in the wrong, you must accept the consequences. Don't start trading wrongs or trying to justify your actions. This isn't the time for a contest of prideful will; it's time to apologize and get on with your relationship.
