I don't know how well a long distance relationship would work

I recently graduated from college and started a new career in my field. I was offered an opportunity for management training in another state. I would be almost across the country. I was really excited about the chance and I'm set to go in about five weeks. The problem is I've met someone I really like a little more than a month ago. He knows I am supposed to move and we've really hit it off. I am rethinking the decision to go. This could be something special with this guy. He has said he also feels the connection, but I have to do what is best for me though he would be excited to see where we might go and it would be great if I stayed. I don't know how well a long distance relationship would work. Can you help?

I believe in love at first sight. I believe it can happen. But in the cases where it has happened, the plan seemed to follow right along with it. mostly everything fell into place. This doesn't seem to be that. You are admitting this could be something or it could not be; in other words, this is a regular relationship.
It's interesting your new fella says he wants you to stay. What would he say if you asked him to pack his bags and go with you? Did you ever consider that option? When we were engaged, my now husband and I worked for the same company and my job was moving to New Mexico. He got on a plane and checked out Albuquerque with me. That's a commitment to the relationship. You haven't gotten there yet. You just met. You need to continue on with your plans with your life. You should be able to navigate a long distance relationship if you're interested in a long term relationship. If you discover this is something special, you always change your plans.
