I want to start this article on why men cheat by saying that while they have "reasons" these should never be seen as excuses. Period. If you want to screw around then break up with the woman you are seeing and THEN go hook up with the next hottie to come around the corner. So what are these reason for men cheating? Here are the top 5 reasons why men cheat on their women: FIVE: Many men cheat because they are a**holes. Seriously, the opportunity presents itself and sometimes they just don't care how it makes someone they are dating feel, they want to do it so they do. Plain and simple. FOUR: He's just not that into you. This too can be true and as painful as it is, better to learn now before you wasted too much time on him. If a guy is willing to do something like that to you, kick him to the curb and find someone who deserves to be with you, one who will respect you for the woman you are. THREE: The love is all gone. This can be one of the hardest things to grasp, especially if you are still feeling it. If when confronted with what he's done and he does admit to have fallen out of love with you, don't bother arguing or trying to change his mind. If it's gone it's gone, let it go and move on. TWO: In all too many cases men cheat on women in order to hurt them. They know this is the one thing guaranteed to devastate the woman they are seeing so they do it. I mean, obviously it doesn't hurt that it's also something they enjoy doing at the same time either. ONE: The MOST common reason why men cheat is to boost their own ego. Whether they are married or dating, men want to feel like they are special, and if for whatever reasons (whether it's all in their head or not) if they are not feeling it from their woman they will look to get that boost from someone else. Cheating is never the right way to go whether you are a woman or a man. That said, it does still happen, these are not excuses as to why it does, but a few of the top reasons behind it.
