Who Couldn't Use Some Advice On Relationships?

Weve all experienced relationships where we could have or should have behaved differently, so we could all use some basic advice on relationships. Unfortunately, we are often already head over heels in love with someone when our friends and family try to give us the relationship advice, so we really dont want to listen to it! Some of the best advice on relationships can be learned before we actually get into relationships, so that we can learn from the past and hopefully experience much better relationships in the future.

Know who you are.
This is some of the best relationship advice you will ever get. When you know who you are and where you are going in life, youll find that it is a lot easier to have fulfilling relationships. When you arent sure what direction you are going in, its hard to have serious relationships, and it can even be hard to have fulfilling or fun less serious relationships. If you know who you are you will also know what you are looking for from someone else, or youll have a better idea and you can go from there.

Have a game plan.
This doesnt mean that you need to have your whole relationship planned out, but when you have at least a vague idea of what you are looking for from a relationship, youll typically be able to interact in a much more positive way with those that you do date. If you know that you are not looking for anything serious, you can convey this message to the people that you date so that everyone is on the same page. If you know that you are looking for something a bit more serious, then you can convey this message and look for people that are also seeking something more serious. When two people know what the other is looking for, the chance for fulfilling interactions increases dramatically.

Deal with your baggage.
This is easier said than done, but if you are looking for advice on relationships this is a biggie. If youve have bad relationships in the past you need to think about why they went bad, and why you may be attracted to the type of people who arent good for you. Attempt to identify what type of people you are attracted to, and then determine if these are the right people for you. If you can identify what you have done right or wrong in the past, it can help you experience more fulfilling relationships now as well as avoiding the ones that will only bring you down again. Counseling, and heart to heart conversations with your family and friends can often help you identify your relationship patterns so that you can attempt to rise above them. You can also find a plethora of advice on relationships in books, on the Internet, and from friends that are always more than willing to hand out advice!

When you break your relationships down by looking at where you have been and where you would like to go, you can improve your chances of having a great relationship in the future! Learn from the past; that is the best relationship advice one can be given!
