There are a lot of fun activities that couples can do together. These activities help strengthen their relationship and open their lines of communication. Regardless of how long they've been together, couples need to spend some quality time doing relaxing things. Here are a few activities that couples can do together:
You can go out on a picnic. It's best to have a picnic in a wide, open space. This is something really fun for couples, since it doesn't have the same pressure (and expense) as going out on a date in a fancy restaurant. Whether you do this in the morning or in the evening is up to you - just make sure that the weather is right.
You can go to the local observatory for a night of stargazing. This is best done when there's a meteor shower, a comet, or if some planets are within sight. If you could arrange it, it's nice to have dinner out in the open as well. This is a very romantic activity for couples, more so if both of you are taking up astronomy as a hobby.
Get competitive with your partner by playing a board game. Believe it or not, playing board games can tighten the bond between a couple. Whether you're playing Scrabble or Monopoly, bringing out your competitive sides can be a great source of sexual tension. I even know of some couples who have "board game Olympics" where they try to beat each other at several games, and whoever gets the most points gets to do the other one a favor (could be sexual). Just make sure that you don't take the competition too seriously.
Couples can strengthen their emotional ties by doing simple things together. It's best to spend your free time doing these fun activities rather than just sitting and watching TV without talking.
