It is important to follow a certain dating etiquette so that you don’t appear clumsy, haphazard, untidy, casual, fussy, careless or idiotic during a date. 1.Be well groomed - of course, it is important to take care to know that there is no body odor on you and that you smell good. Get up early in the morning, floss your teeth well, empty your bowels fully, take a gentle aromatic bath, dab on a little delicate perfume. Dress whatever is comfortable to you. For bad breath, drink a lot of water or make sure that you have a mint popped in your mouth. Women naturally take care of these things besides applying make up, but men have to see that they don’t forego certain things. They should see that their hair is set nicely and that their nails are clipped and they are shaved well. For ladies bad breath and body odor are a big ‘no’, so do anything but smell nice and fresh.

2.Arrive on time - this is an important point which we should never neglect. If you are a man and if you are supposed to pick up your lady, make sure that you turn up at her place five minutes before the suggested time. Never make a person wait on you. If you are late, the other person feels used and also will lose trust on you. The least you could do if you are bound to be late is give a call and tell them much in advance.

3.Wedding etiquette for a man is quite important especially a certain piece of ‘manly’ action called chivalry will make her feel really warmed up to you. Be polite, respect her, and handle her with care. Let her walk ahead of you, pull out a chair for her, hold the door for her, let her take the window seat and just try in every which manner to make her feel special.


4.Compliment her and everything else nice could follow. A woman finds its fascinating and sweet to know that you get attracted to her.

5.Ask her questions; what you should say should be half to what you have to listen of her.

6.When on date, have an interesting repertoire of things to talk about. This is not exactly a dating etiquette but it holds good enough water to be qualified as that for the simple reason that unless you don’t know on what topics to speak and how, you don’t look versatile and knowledgeable enough. 7.The question of paying the bill is always a cause of contention. As a part of dating etiquette, you should pay the bill. But independent that the modern lady is, she would not make any bones about footing the bill totally. In that case you could volunteer to pay half the bill.

8.As a guy you should drop the girl home after the date. The girl should ideally make it a point to smile and thank the guy for the date. A small peck on the kiss or a delicate lip kiss is okay depending on the situation unless the situation permits to go further. But it is better to stay clear of sex unless she is horny or feels seductive. If you are interested in your date for the second meeting let him or her know after some days. Even if you are not going for a second date, make it a point to call the person up and chat for a brief while.
