A Few Great Conversation Starters That May Land a First Date By Tim Blackstock
How often have you found yourself gazing at a man or woman from across the room and wondering just how you could approach that individual and start a conversation? If the answer to this question is frequently, then the following paragraphs may be of some interest.
Inquire About a Common Topic
Inquiring about a topic which the two of you may have in common is a wonderful way to break the ice and start a conversation with a specific individual. A great example of this would be with regard to sporting events. If an individual is in a sports bar and is interested in speaking with someone across the room, a great way to get the conversation started is to inquire about a game score that is being viewed at that time. Something like this would get the conversation going which could flow from there.
Buying Drinks
This may seem like a tiresome option that everyone uses, however, it is a wonderful way to show interest and to possibly blossom into a full-fledged, in-depth conversation with the desired individual. This is also beneficial as it is a quick way to determine whether or not the other individual is interested. If not, there is no need to pursue the person any further and the individual can go on his/her way to pursue other, more interested individuals.
Ask General Questions
Asking general questions of an individual with whom one is interested in starting a conversation with is a great way to get the proverbial ball rolling. This is especially useful if an individual is new in town and is generally curious about certain things. Asking a prospective date what an art museum in town is like may just land a first date to that particular spot.
Starting conversations in order to possibly obtain a first date with an individual is not as difficult as it may seem. People like conversationalists and being one may help the cause. With this in mind, the previously mentioned suggestions are a few ways in which an interested person can possibly obtain the date of their dreams.
