I asked that he get tested for STDs....
The guy that Ive been seeing wants to take our relationship to the next level. Im more than willing to do so, but I asked that he get tested for STDs. I didnt think it was an odd request, but he is offended. He says he doesnt take drugs and was never one to sleep around that much. I want to be very careful with my life and I enjoy sex, I just dont think I should have to die to have it. Am I being unreasonable?

Dear Gina,
No, you're not being unreasonable. I can understand why it would be an upsetting question to hear. But I also know that being even somewhat well read, you would have had to have heard about STD's.
If you've already broken up with him, the situation has resolved itself. Of you're still together, tell him you cannot honor him unless you honor yourself and the situation demands they all know where they stand.
