Is a sex only relationship a waste of time?
One of my best friends says that a relationship that has nothing but sex to it is a waste of time. She says that time could be spent finding the person with whom to have a special, serious relationship. I dont quite agree with her, but dont know how to make the argument. Is a sex only relationship a waste of time?

If both parties have an honest agreement that all they want is to have sex, then it isn't a waste of time. Certainly, there is nothing wrong with abstaining from sex until one is married or until one is sure the committment is at least serious. This isn't an argument you need to make because all the answers are the right one as long as people live with integrity; for instance, don't say you want an open relationship if you really don't. Don't claim to remain faithful if you can't. For your friend, a purely physical relationship isn't her thing; for you it might be fine. You both get to decide what's best for you and you should be able to do so without making the other person feel wrong.
