How to Introduce Your Partner to Sex Toys By Laura Rupert
Sex is a very personal thing and it is also very intimate. But, sex can be a lot of fun, too and sex toys do a great job of spicing things up. Of course, if one partner is into sex toys and the other thinks they are gross then this can be a problem. So, it helps to know how to introduce sex toys to your partner if you really want to enjoy that part of your sex life. The following tips may not work for you, but if you follow them and have an understanding and caring partner then all might work out just right!
Choose the Right Moment
You don't want to just show up with a sex toy and present it to your partner, especially if they have expressed distaste in them before. So, you should talk to your partner about how you would like to spice things up and maybe go to a sex store and pick out a toy together. You could of course play down the embarrassment factor of your partner and check things out online in private. If you tell your partner that you love making love to them, but that sex toys can add pleasure for both parties and make things more exciting than ever then you just might get through. Make sure you approach the conversation in a fun and lighthearted way. Don't make your partner feel backed into a wall or that you don't enjoy your current sex life. Instead, say something like "wouldn't it be fun to buy a sex toy we could use on each other?" Addressing the situation in that manner just might get you what you want!
Start off Slow
There are a lot of hardcore sex toys out there and some of them might be too much for your partner to begin with. So, consider picking out a sex toy that will be more readily acceptable. For example, a penis ring or a small vibrator might be a great way to move into the world of sex toys without turning your partner off to the idea altogether.
Educate Your Partner
A lot of people are intimidated by sex toys and since they don't know how to use them simply write them off. But, if you know how to use a sex toy and want it used on you then first show your partner how it's done. They just might enjoy the new sensations so much that they are willing to learn how to do it to you to!
Sex toys don't have to be taboo in your relationship. But, you may need to go slow when introducing your partner to them to make sure that in the end you get what you want!
