Because the Internet stretches across the world, through every civilized culture and touches every race and religion, 'mixing' in the dating genre is certainly nothing new. However, you may be the type of individual that has never thought about seeking out someone of a different race to be your partner. There's certainly nothing wrong with that. It's nothing to feel guilty about if you fit that mold. Our love maps are created by what's familiar in our lives, and growing up in a certain culture means you will necessarily gravitate to that culture for love. It's called life! But sometimes we find kindred spirits in people from other races, and some dating advice about how to handle it might come in handy. Nothing's Different but You Due to politically correct society, we're taught that people are different and must be treated with deference depending on their race. My, how far we've come (sarcasm alert). So it's not uncommon for people to feel awkward and feel as if they need to speak or act a certain way around someone of another race. Look-just be yourself! Despite what you're told, people are people are people. Outside Opinion Should be Left Outside Yeah, there are still some slow-to-change elements in society, and maybe even in your family. If you're a black girl about to bring home a white guy and feel as if your family will freak, here's some sound dating advice: let them freak! It's 2011 and love is love all day every day. All Love is a Challenge Some people think dating someone from a different race is going to be a challenge, and no amount of dating advice can help that. Well, all love is challenging! A white guy from Canada falling in love with an Asian girl from China doesn't mean the relationship is destined to meet more hurdles than if said guy met a girl next door to him.
