Is it wrong to have goals and deadlines?

Is it wrong to have goals and deadlines? I'm currently in my late teens and I would like to be married before I'm 25 and have my children before I'm 30. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but some of my girlfriends, and even my mother laugh at me.
I think it's possible to have both goals met, but I'm being told to be realistic. I don't get what they're telling me. Isn't possible to find someone, marry, and have kids like I want to?

Yes, it's possible...but you have to find him, you have to make sure he's the right one, and he has to agree to your timetable. What if he wants to get married when he's 40 and you'll be past 25? What if he doesn't want children at the same time you do?
Goals are fine as long as you understand when you're talking marriage and children, it involves other human beings who have their own goals (or not).
It sounds as if you have the goal in mind instead of what it means. Relationships require work and compromise, you may sell yourself too short or too soon if you focus only on the goal and not the emotions that go with marriage and parenthood.
