She is the perfect woman and I dont want to blow my chance. What should I do?

When I was in high school, I met the girl I knew was the right one for me. We were friends and I was too shy to ask her out, but I had the strongest feeling she liked me in that way. We lost touch with each other after high school and in my last year of college on a visit home, I saw her again. She was still as beautiful and perfect as ever, but she had a boyfriend and so I didnt ask her out or anything. I have kicked myself for the past several years for at least not trying “ the worst that could have happened was that she said no.

Well, I am about to go home again and I heard she will be there for the same town event that I am attending. I dont want to blow another chance, but I also dont know if shes any more available than ever. She is the perfect woman and I dont want to blow my chance. What should I do?

David

Dear David

First, stop fantasizing this girl into more than she is. She's the one that got away and if you go up to her and she has a zit on her face or she snorts when she laughs, you'll be all kinds of disappointed because she's not the goddess you imagine.

Second, nothing can be done until you know for sure if she's available. If you find out that she is, walk up to her and start a conversation with her. If it goes well, one of you will more likely say "Let's keep in touch" and then you should exchange contact information and you do just that. You make sure you stay in touch.
