My New Crazy Personality By Lorraine Harper
I had never been speed dating before and really didn't want to go. But, my best friend was really into it and kept telling me how much fun it was. Of course, I didn't believe her because she always went and came home complaining about how bad the selection was and she never ended up with a date. So, why would I want to accompany her to one of these speed dating sessions? I didn't, but I went anyway.
I wasn't keen on sharing my real identity with anyone while fake speed dating so I came up with an alternate personality. I changed my name and mode of dress and when talking to the guys I even changed my personality. It was fun to be someone I wasn't for a little while and just play with the guys' minds, that is until I met him.
His name was Brian and he was absolutely beautiful. I couldn't believe he was speed dating and I was anxious for him to approach me. But, the thing is I wanted to be my real self with him and not my created self. I debated what to do. Should I go with my new crazy personality or revert to my lawyer by day, pet lover by night real personality? My clothes were also to be considered as I was dressed rather skimpily. Not to mention it is possible he overheard me talking to other speed daters and might wonder what I was doing if I just changed my story in the middle of the speed dating.
I kept hoping to come up with a great idea, but I never did. Instead, I waited until he approached me and in the short time we had to talk he told me that he wasn't interested up front because he was looking for a laidback woman who liked to go on walks with pets and that could understand a man who worked in the law field. I tried to tell him that I was perfect for that lifestyle, that it was my lifestyle, but by then the buzzer rang and he moved on. I couldn't let him get away, though. So I stood up in my tight pink mini dress and fishnet stockings and followed him. I told him how I was a lawyer and loved taking my dogs for a walk after a trying day at the office. I explained everything to him and he looked at me like I was pathetic and walked off. So, my speed dating experience didn't go so well!
