Have Fun with Speed Dating

Speed dating is usually a somewhat large event where at least 10 to 20 singles meet up at a specified location. Each pair of people will spend anywhere from two to 10 minutes with one another sharing what they can in that amount of time. When the time is up, each person will move on and share the next round of time with another person. This means that each person can meet as many people as are involved in the event in just a couple hours time! It's not unusual to meet 10, 20, or even 30 other singles when speed dating which increases your chances of meeting someone that you really click with.
It's important when you become involved in speed dating not to take the process too seriously. The fact is that there will probably be people from all walks of life at the speed dating event so you may really click with some, you may clash with others, and you'll find that you are just indifferent toward others. The hope is that there will be at least one person that you would like to see again on a one on one date. If this is the case, you can share your numbers with one another, or if things work out really well you can grab a drink afterward.
It's important to remember that speed dating is supposed to be fun. Many people find the process miserable because they expected to walk in and meet their future husband or wife. If you put that much pressure on the process you'll likely feel bored, let down, or just irritated that you didn't walk into the event to find yourself in love. Don't take things so seriously. Don't think about meeting "the one" instead concentrate on finding someone that you might like to go dancing with, out for coffee with, or someone that would like to see that movie you want to see.
Speed dating is definitely a unique experience. You might think that it is an awesome resource for casual dates because you have something in common with many people. Don't hesitate to give your number to several people so that you have someone to call when you feel like going out and getting to meet someone new. Also, don't be ashamed when you don't click with anyone, just sign up for another round, you never know, that may be when you will get lucky and meet several people that you strike up an interest with.
